Chambery Airport to Tignes le Lac

Question:
I need to get from the Chambery Airport to the ski resort of Valloire Galibier. I can't hire a car and wondered if there was train or bus service that went to the resort?

Answer:
You can’t take a train direct to Tignes. You’ll take one from Chambery to Bourg St.Maurice and then from there you can take a taxi or shuttle to Tignes le lac. You will need to take a taxi to Chambery, cost 20€. The train costs about £14.50 and the trip takes about two hours. See this web site for more info - www.raileurope.co.uk. If you are travelling on a weekend you would be better off taking a bus with Altibus. It is 40€ for a single and 70€ for a return.
