Train to Geneva

Question:
Dear Sirs,
Please can you let me know if there is a train that goes from Chambery to Geneva and if so does it leave from Chambery Airport?
Many thanks.

Answer:
Yes, you can take a train from Chambery to Geneva but the train doesn’t leave from the airport. You need to take a taxi to the Chambery train station, it costs about 20€.
There seems to be lots of trains that run between Chambery and Geneva, some direct some not. Travel time is from a little over and hour for direct trains and up to three hours when you need to make a few train changes. For more information see - www.raileurope.co.uk. If you take the regional train (TER) you don’t need to make a reservation. Jeff
